First Up is Ron Hipp and Heidi Pollyea - In the Round
An Atlanta Coffeehouse icon - Ron Hipp, is one of our Common Grounds favorites, playing our stage since the very first year of the coffee house. He continues to delight and entertain with his deep, rich vocals, his insightful original material, and his professional musicianship. He joins us this month, with the songs from his childhood, and from his earlier years as a musician - those that inspired him, and continue to inspire and entertain audiences throughout his performances.
Heidi Pollyea is an Atlanta based singer-songwriter and performer, as well as, a respected and degreed private music instructor. Reared in pop, trained in jazz and exposed to Latin and gospel music, Heidi has blended all with a generous dose of bluesy Southern acoustic sprinkled on top to create her particular brand of “funky folk”. Heidi is known for her ability to engage and entertain the audience with a relaxed, acoustic set, or in a full band. She joins Ron Hipp on stage this month to perform classic and timeless songs from some of the great female artists of the 1960's and 70's.
Tulips & Time
Bass Extraordinaire, Michael Robbins (of The Border Collies), joins Troy and Rhonda Lashbrooks, with a special presentation of Tulips & Time (Bluesy Roots, Retro, and Original Music).
