It is a great pleasure to join UUMAN as Interim Minister while this congregation searches for a new settled minister.  My home is in Framingham, MA and I will be traveling back and forth from home to Roswell, staying long enough to be in the pulpit three times in a row each month.   Originally from Los Angeles, CA I entered the ministry after a long career in the computer industry as a Project Manager and Consultant.  My calling to ministry came later in life, but it has been the culmination of many years of discernment.  As a child brought up in the UU church, the values and principles that unite us in this faith are deeply ingrained in my soul.  As a spiritual seeker I bring the perspective that we all have more to discover about ourselves and our place in this universe.  As the mother of a special needs child, I bring knowledge of the joys and sorrows of parenting. As a woman in love with another woman, I bring a realization of the way in which we are conditioned to prejudice.  As a lover of nature, the protection and stewardship of the Earth is deeply important to me.

Rev. Frieda Gillespie

This year for UUMAN is a transition year, which can be very exciting and growth producing.  While a search committee is being formed, there will be ample opportunity for UUMAN as a congregation to clarify its identity and mission.  I look forward to being a part of that process and all of the life of this very active community.

Reverend Gillespie can be reached via email at minister@uuman.org or by telephone at UUMAN at (770) 992-3949, or at (678)-381-4365.
